�� ¼ cup distilled Water

�� ¼ cup liquid Castile soap (any other unscented liquid olive oil soap will work as well)

�� � teaspoon light vegetable oil (think grape seed, avocado, jojoba oil etc.)

�� 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

�� 3 tablespoons Apple juice

�� 6 Cloves

Directions: Grind cloves to a fine powder. Put all of the ingredients in a blender and pulse until a smooth, even consistency is reached. Wash as if a normal shampoo. Keep time for leftovers is three days in the fridge.

�� 1/4 cup distilled water.

�� 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap.

�� 2 Tbsp dried Rosemary.

�� 2 Tbsp sweet Almond oil.

�� 1/4 Tbsp Lemon extract.
Directions: Boil distilled water. Add rosemary. Strain leaves and let it cool. Mix everything and add water. Stir well.

Marmalade is a very delicious way to start a day. Marmalades are made of mangos, lemons, carrots, apples, oranges and all those delicious fruits you can think. Having a packaged marmalade doesn’t seem so delicious as compared to a homemade marmalade. Well, surely like your granny, you won’t have enough to time and also jars, to create marmalade for the whole neighborhood. But you can make some of it for your family, the quick and easy way. It is true that we guys at home take pride in cooking something out of the ordinary, and the marmalade sure seems like it. If you aren’t scared of the pressure cooker, then it will be even easier and quicker.


· 500 gram washed lemons cut into half (cut the edges)

· Water

· Lemon juice

· 750 grams of sugar

· 4 tablespoon honey

Here is an easy way to make super-fast lemon marmalade under pressure. All you need to do is to follow these steps:


Before you start you need to make sure that you have a muslin bag. The marmalade tastes better when the lemon pith is soaked overnight.

· Squeeze the lemons to get the juice

· Put the lemon pith in the bag and let it soak in 500ml of water for at least 5 hours, overnight is better.

· Cut lemon peels into lengths. (the lengths of the peels depend on your choice)

· Put the lemon juice and peel in the cooker

· Also, put the lemon pith muslin bag in the cooker

· Add water to it (depends on how much peel you have to cook)

· Once all the ingredients are in place, fit the cooker lid (Make sure that the lid is tight)

· Cook for 15 minutes under high pressure (you can cook for 10 minutes if peel is not too thick)

· Slow down the cooker pressure by slowing down the heat gradually

· Take out the muslin bag

· Squeeze the juice from the muslin bag into the cooker where peel is already cooked (you can use large spoons for this purpose)

· Now take the muslin bag out of the cooker

· Now that you have the concentrated solution, add sugar to it and cook while stirring

· Make sure that the sugar is dissolved properly

· Add four tablespoon honey (most people do not add honey, but it gives better taste and adds thickness to the marmalade)

· Your marmalade is almost ready, increase heat and keep stirring until it thickens

· Skim the surface and let the marmalade cool

Eight steps to develop your coffee palate

Tired of those undefined “refreshing drinks” that go under the guise of coffee called strange names like “caramel vanilla mochaccino” something or other? Want to know what real coffee tastes like and differentiate between Ethiopian, Java, Brazilian Santos or Minas coffees.

Well, you can but you would need to develop your palate. That is not such a quick process but it is definitely achievable and above all enjoyable. Here are 8 steps that will do the trick for you.

1. Go to a specialist coffee roaster shop

Skip your local or any other supermarket, or any other pre-packaged coffee for that matter. When you develop your palate, you will quickly know if any of those are worth buying.

Ask the roaster to grind for you on the spot two different types of coffee, either for a French press od chezve/ibrik, depending which way you decide to go. When the roaster starts grinding, you will get your taste of palate developing. There is nothing more enticing to a coffee drinker that the smell of freshly ground coffee and the warmth of it in roaster’s special bags.

2. Get a French press or chezve/ibrik

French press probably sounds self-explanatory and is extremely popular among coffee lovers. If you are not familiar with it, there are numerous videos available on YouTube that will be of help.

Chezve or ibrik on the other hand is a specially designed pot to brew Turkish coffee. This is a relatively simple way of brewing which, when done right, it can produce exquisite aroma, a step further in developing your palate. Brewing Turkish style coffee requires that you place two to three table spoons of ground coffee in the chezve pot, get the water to boil in a separate container, pour the water halfway to the top of chezve and let it come to boil again. Done.

3. Brew two types of coffee at the same time

It’s been shown that an amazing 54% of Americans drink coffee every day, usually as a way of kick-starting their day at breakfast times, and some countries (particularly in Scandinavia and Southern Europe) have even higher numbers than this. So here are our top 10 reasons for being a regular coffee drinker.

1. Coffee Could Lower The Chance of Developing Skin Cancer

A study conducted by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School followed 112,897 men and women over a 20-year period and their findings appear to indicate that women who drink three or more cups of coffee each day are less likely to develop skin cancer than women who drink no coffee at all. The study didn’t mention any statistics for men though!

2. Consumption of Coffee May Lower Suicide Levels

A study conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health discovered that drinking between two and four cups of coffee each day reduces the incidents of suicide among both men and women by nearly 50 percent. One of the reasons put forward to explain this is that coffee has been shown to act as an antidepressant by aiding in the production of the body’s neurotransmitters such as noradrenaline and serotonin. A number of other studies appear to concur with these findings.

3. The Aroma of Coffee Can Reduce Stress

A group of researchers at Seoul University in South Korea looked at the brains of laboratory rats who were displaying signs of stress caused by deprivation and found that the rats exposed to the aroma of coffee displayed changes in the levels of brain proteins linked to stress. As we mentioned in one of our coffee articles a few weeks ago, coffee reduces the risk of Type 2 diabetes. A study carried out by researchers at the American Chemical Society concluded that cases of type 2 diabetes are around 50 percent lower among people drinking a minimum of four cups of coffee a day. Subsequently, the risk drops by a further 7 percent for every additional daily cup of coffee consumed, though of course there are other health implications in doing this.

10. Coffee Can Keep Your Brain Healthy.

Studies carried out by the University of South Florida concluded that both men and women over 65 years of age with higher blood levels of caffeine developed Alzheimer’s disease between two and four years later than those with lower levels of caffeine in their blood. They pointed out that coffee consumption cannot be shown to completely protect people from Alzheimer’s, but that moderate coffee consumption can appreciably reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s or at least delay its onset.
